What’s So Good About Clear Top Herb Grinders?
When I first got my hands on this 3 piece, clear top grinder, I wasn’t impressed. The idea of having a clear top seemed more like an unnecessary addition or feature to an herb grinder. I didn’t really understand the real meaning behind this feature until I used it. Then it helped me understand why everyone needs a clear top grinder now.
I now only use clear top grinders. With any 3 piece grinder, the tobacco gets ground up in the teeth only and will not fall into the a separate compartment. The more you twist, the finer it will be. Therefore, to gauge the fineness of what your trying to grind, you need a clear top to see it doing so.
Sure, you can do the same thing with the other grinders, but you’ll have to keep opening the top and checking how it looks like. With the clear top, not only is it cool to watch it grind, its highly convenient to see it in action.
Some clear top grinders have magnifying features on it, but that’s not necessary. 3 or even 2 piece grinders should have a clear top.
